So I was on Pinterest looking for some cute Father's Day cards. I found a couple. Here's the link to two of them.

But I wanted something more personalized. My husband is a contractor and doesn't use a tool belt he has his awesome Craftsman bags. My older teenage boys each have their own tool bag as well for when they go working with Dad. So I looked and found some stuff and then created my own using my Cricut and Sure Cuts A lot software.
Here's what I did. I googled some black and white construction tools and then imported them into SCAL software and got this:
Then I was looking for bags and didn't really find anything so I made my own in SCAL It's just a rounded rectangle-ish shape with an arch as the handle, welded them, grouped them and voila! Then I cut some pockets and cut them in the standard black and red Craftsman bags and then put the tools in the pockets.
I used these colors and I've added pictures of all the cuts I was making and how I assembled the card for your reference. So there's 5 pages total in this SCAL file. The first one I printed in black, page 2 in red, page 3 in white, page 4 in gray, and page 5 in brown.
Then I thought "where can the kids sign this cute card?" Well I'm sure if I think about it more I can think of something cuter but I just wanted to keep is simple so I cut a white page with rounded edge that I glued to the back so the kids can sign it there.
Let me know if you like it and I can email you the SCAL files. I can't figure out how to add files to Blogger yet and I haven't had time to research it. Please let me know if you know how to do it so I can add them. If you like it share it! Thanks!
